SMUS Berlin hosted 40 Junior Researchers for a six-month research stay from September 2020 to February 2021. During that time, they participated in a series of online courses, workshops and excursions aimed at developing and strengthening their research competences. Moreover, the objective of presenting these researchers with the unique opportunity to almost exclusively work on their doctoral research proposals for six months was for them to elaborate on a compelling and convincing exposé which could be translated into a doctoral dissertation.
The researchers were selected by SMUS partners and at the end of the research stay, the researchers were given the opportunity to apply for a 36-month SMUS PhD scholarship.
12 Junior Researchers are now enrolled in PhD programs in several SMUS partner countries. If you would like to find out more about a specific SMUS Junior Researcher, feel free to visit their profile in the People section of the SMUS website.
