Biography: Battsetseg Altankhuyag is from Mongolia. She completed her bachelors degree in Education at the Seoul National University in South Korea and continued her masters degree in Education at the University of Turku in Finland. After finishing her studies abroad, she has returned back to her country and worked at the German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) as a Head of the Academic and Student Affairs Department. Ever since a young age, she had an interest in education sciences and believes that education is one of the most important and fundamental factors in the development of any country. Currently, she is a doctoral student at the Bonn International Graduate School – Oriental and Asian Studies (BIGS-OAS), University of Bonn.  

PhD Thesis Working Title: Understanding Mongolian First-Year Students’ Experiences at University (Unequal Opportunities in Access to Education)
