Biography: Thando Tilmann has an interdisciplinary MPhil in Land Economy from the University of Cambridge, where she studied public policies and regulations needed to manage natural resources more effectively. Her MPhil thesis was on Land Reform in Zimbabwe.

She has worked at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies e.V. (IASS), an international, interdisciplinary centre of scientific excellence in Potsdam, Germany for the past ten years.

During her time there, she gained extensive experience in curating multi-stakeholder dialogue through several international and interdisciplinary conferences on sustainable land use,  the Sustainable Development goals (SDG#s) and ocean governance.

She is currently a Coordinator at the Global Center of Spatial Methods for Urban Sustainability (GCSMUS).
