Biography: Prof. Dr. Xin Yi is an Associate Professor at the School of Architecture, Southeast University, Nanjing. He studied architecture and urban planning in China and Germany and obtained a Dipl.-Ing. from Tsinghua University, Beijing and a PhD from Technical University of Munich, Germany.
His research interests focus on urban regeneration and urban conservation. He is a contributor to the thematic group Urban Transformation in Europe and China, within the Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP). He also founded the Sino-German Urban and Rural & Architectural Research Center at Southeast University in Nanjing.
