Biography: Prof. Dr. Jochen Mayerl is a Professor of Sociology focusing on empirical social research at the Institute of Sociology at the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences at Chemnitz University of Technology. He is also the current coordinator of the methodological competence center at the university.
His main research focus includes developing survey methodology, statistical methods of empirical social research (especially Structural Equation Modeling), sociological attitude-behaviour research, societal conditions of change, the stability of attitudes, and environmental sociology xenophobia and ethnocentrism.
