Biography: Gonzalo García Espinosa is a sociologist at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (National Autonomous University of Mexico), with a thesis on a comparison between the sociological theories of Emile Durkheim and Niklas Luhmann. From 2014 to 2016 he was research assistant at Center of multidisciplinary and theoretical studies in social sciences (UNAM). In 2017, he started his master’s at Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana– Azcapotzalco (Autonomous Metropolitan University – AZcapotzalco), on sociology as well. He developed a thesis on “Social structure and semantics on Niklas Luhmann´s sociology”. Furthermore, he had a research stay at the University of Chile in 2018 and has experience in teaching sociology in some Mexican universities. He was a scholarship holder at Mexican Journal of Sociology from 2016 to 2017.

Research Topic: Food and Feeding Practices in Mexico City.
