Biography: Dr. Iwan Rudiarto obtained his bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Diponegoro University, Indonesia, in 1998. He received an MSc in Land Management and Land Tenure from the Technical University of Munich in 2005 and his PhD from the University of Hohenheim in 2010. Dr. Rudiarto is currently working as a Lecturer and Researcher at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Diponegoro University, Indonesia. He is also active as a researcher at the Centre of Participatory Planning at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Diponegoro University, Indonesia. His current research on disaster management, urban and rural resilience, and rural development is funded in part by the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education and Diponegoro University.
