Dr.-Ing. Elizabeth Wamuchiru is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, the University of Nairobi (UoN), Kenya. She is a registered and licensed Physical Planner with over ten years of experience in academia, research and practice. She is also an Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Audit expert. Her research interests lie in urban planning, human settlements, urban mobility and networked infrastructure systems. Besides academia, she has continuously worked in various consultancies as an urban expert involving international organizations, national government, county government, research institutions, corporate entities and individual entities. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (in Planning) from UoN, a Master of Arts Degree (in Planning) from UoN, a Master of Science in Human Settlements from KU Leuven, Belgium and a PhD in Urban Studies from TU Darmstadt, Germany.
