Biography: Dr. Enock Sakala is a Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Zambia (UNZA) School of Natural Sciences in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies.

Dr. Sakala has a Masters in Environmental Science and a PhD in Environmental Engineering. He is currently involved in research activities with the Universities of Bonn and Cologne under the Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) “Future Rural Africa: Future-making and social-ecological transformation.”

His research interests are: environmentally sustainable development, environmental monitoring and assessment, environmental impact assessment, land use planning and management, sustainable agricultural production and food security, climate change- adaptation and mitigation, strategies and disaster risk management.
