Biography: Anthony Mavuto Gunde is a Senior Lecturer in Media, Communication and Cultural Studies at, Chancellor College, University of Malawi. Gunde holds a PhD in Journalism Studies from Stellenbosch University, South Africa and a Master of Arts degree in Communications from Missouri State University, USA. He has published works in a number of peer-reviewed journals and books. Gunde has overarching interests in the political economy of mass communications, the rhetoric of media culture, and the intersection of religion, media and culture.
