Pilot Project (2020-2022): Tracking flukes (Presentation at RC21 Conference)

Tracking flukes: Urban sustainable everyday spatialities of homelessness in Covid-19 São Paulo

Preliminary results of the four-phase Pilot Project “Spatial Methods in Action: Everyday Spatialities of Homelessness for Urban Sustainability” were presented during the RC21 Conference Ordinary Cities in Exceptional Times held at the Harakopio University of Athens and the National Technical University of Athens (24-26.08.2022).

With a presentation entitled “Tracking flukes: Urban sustainable everyday spatialities of homelessness in Covid-19 São Paulo”, Prof. Dr. Fraya Frehse (SMUS Lead partner – Action 4 speaker), Dr. Ignacio Castillo Ulloa (SMUS scientific coordinator) and Caio Moraes Reis (SMUS Doctoral Student) took part in panel 14 “Homelessness since Covid-19”. During the discussion, following the paper presentations, valuable feedback and, particularly, practice-oriented insights were gained, which will in turn inform the workshops that will be organized with the participation of the PEIPs-teams (2022-2023) – IIT Madras and IIT Kharagpur – on a research and project implementation agenda for future spatial research methods.
