Our next International and Interdisciplinary Conference on Spatial Methods for Urban Sustainability (SMUS Conference) will happen online and be hosted by the University of São Paulo.
São Paulo is the largest city not only in Brazil, but also in Latin America; in 2021 its population was estimated in 12.396.372 people, covering an area of 1.521,2 km². When we consider the metropolitan region, which includes other 38 cities, the population surpasses 21 million inhabitants – 10% of the brazilian population.
