Trainer Team:

MOVYT – Millenium Center – Mobilities and Territories (University of Chile): Paola Jirón; Walter Imilán

This session will discuss the uses of mobile methods based on the mobility turn in the social sciences. It will explain the way mobility can be used as an object of study as well as mobility as an approach. It will also explain the possibilities generated from mobile methods as ways of weaving territories. It will particularly delve into the ways we use mobile ethnographies to understand urban experiences, issues of care, labour implications and urban food, among others. These experiences will also explain the uses of storytelling through videos and drawings as ways of weaving contemporary ways of thinking through territories. Finally, the session will present the game Trayectopia as a tool for territorial participatory diagnosis.
