Biography: Tumisang Tsholetso is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Botswana. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and her Master’s Degree in Development Studies from the University of Botswana. She proceeded to work in operations management for 12 years in one of the leading retail and wholesale franchises in Botswana from 2007 and 2018, were she started as a trainee manager and quickly progressed to managing 6 of the organisations stores successfully. She further advanced her training through Stellenbosch University, South Africa were she acquired her Senior Management Development Programme qualification. Her love for academia and research developed while pursuing her master’s programme and she has since worked as a teaching assistant and an external consultant with UB and IDM institutions respectively. Mrs. Tsholetso is a Graduate Research Assistant with Spatial Methods for Urban Sustainability (SMUS) Botswana, under the Sociology Department at the University of Botswana. She hopes to pursue her Postdoctoral degree once she completes her PhD programme.
