Biography: Professor Sabelo J. Ndlovu-Gatsheni is a respected Social Scientist and Chair of Epistemologies of the Global South with Emphasis on Africa at the University of Bayreuth in Germany. He previously worked as the Acting Executive Director of Change Management Unit (CMU) in the Vice Chancellor’s Office at the University of South Africa (UNISA), Director of Scholarship at CMC, and founding Head of Archie Mafeje Research Institute for Applied Social Policy (AMRI). He is a member of the South African Academy of Science (ASSAf). His research interest is dominant in African history particularly Zimbabwean and South African history as well as contemporary African politics hence his research focus is mostly cultural and colonial encounters, colonial and post-colonial forms of governance. With publications of over a 100 in books and journal articles, Professor Ndlovu-Gatsheni is indeed a Social Scientist of the century.
